Festivals
The Tsechu/Festivals is the biggest event in Bhutan showcasing our rich cultures and traditions. Different monasteries and districts celebrate the festivals in different times of the year corresponding to the tenth day of the lunar calendar and festivals are very eye catching and exciting as is it happens only once a year in every district. The auspicious festivals are performed by Buddhist monks and lay-man and the people come to temples and Dzongs in their best attire to watch the festivals.
Most of the mask dances are the religious explanation intermediate periods after death and it is displayed to public to seek the blessing and cleanse their sins. The festival time is also an occasion for the family to gather and enjoy being together with packed lunch.
