It’s a five days trek, which leads from Paro to Thimphu and vice versa, crossing the chain of mountains that separates the two valleys. This trek is wonderfully varied: beautiful scenery, good views of mountains and monasteries. Although the route is sparsely inhabited, there are wonderful lakes teeming with fish, rhododendron flowers in May and high altitude wild flowers make this a colourful trail in the spring. In clear weather of late autumn there are great views of the snow capped mountains.
